We’re teaming up with Parks Canada to bring you a low-cost, high-vibe sea kayak lesson right in the city. Whether you’ve never paddled before or just want to feel more confident on the water, this is your moment. No gear? No experience? No problem. Just pull up.

Learn-to Kayak activity can be done solo or in pairs. Solo kayak: minimum age required is 14 years old. Twin kayak: kayaking in pairs can be done with 2 adults or 1 adults and one child (minimum age required 10 years old).

Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

What to expect:

• Certified Parks Canada instructors to guide you

• Official Routes to Rootz crew on-site to support

• 2 hours of hands-on, beginner-friendly canoe instruction

• Chill pace, solid skills, beautiful scenery

What to Wear

Dress for comfort, movement, and the weather. You might get splashed!

• Base Layer: Moisture-wicking T-shirt or tank

• Bottoms: Athletic pants, shorts, or leggings
