Learn to Kayak

We’re teaming up with Parks Canada to bring you a FREE, high-vibe kayak lesson right in the city. Whether you’ve never kayaked before or just want to feel more confident on the water, this is your moment. No gear? No experience? No problem. Just pull up!

The activity is limited to people aged 14 and over. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Since this is a free event, we kindly ask that if you are unable to attend, you inform us in advance to allow others the opportunity to participate. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

What to expect:

• Certified Parks Canada instructors to guide you

• Official Routes to Rootz crew on-site to support

• 2 hours of hands-on, beginner-friendly canoe instruction

• Chill pace, solid skills, beautiful scenery

• Time: 2 hour time slots *Please arrive 15min early*

What to Wear

Dress for comfort, movement, and the weather. You might get splashed!

• Base Layer: Moisture-wicking T-shirt or tank
